Ivona Sigurnjak

Ivona Sigurnjak is currently working as a researcher and project manager in the Department of Green Chemistry and Technology, Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium. She is responsible for ‘Nitrogen and Carbon recycling’ line of research at Bio-Resource laboratory. Her research experience is in the field of animal manure processing and valorisation of produced derivatives as substitutes for synthetic mineral fertilisers. Ivona holds a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences from Ghent University (2017) and is currently involved in several nutrient oriented projects, in a capacity as a work package leader for Fertimanure (Horizon 2020) and WalNUT (Horizon 2020) project, and as a coordinator of NutriBudget (Horizon Europe) project.
